Summer 2012
This summer was another baby summer, so no science adventures (other than the miracle of life!). I spent most of June getting my classroom and lesson plans ready for my sub and any extra time was spent preparing for the arrival of little Oliver Thomas. He wasn't supposed to arrive until July 2nd, but I guess he wanted to make his entrance before Daniel's birthday, so he arrived on 6/24/12 at 10:14am, weighing in at 7 pounds, 2 oz! We spent the rest of the summer learning how to wrangle two boys and still get a little sleep : ) And yes, if I've had you before and you were wondering, my lovely husband got a great picture of my placenta (an amazing organ we learn about in my bio classes and something I never got to see with my first son)! Be ready for this photo to make its entrance some day in class! Ah, the things a biology teacher thinks of after having a baby...
